Thanks to my wonderful backers for their continued support. I love you guys.
Good evening everybody. It's been a little while since I gave an update on both my Mom's status, as well as my workflow progress outline. Suffice it to say I can't really understate the disruption to the content output because of what's going on, but hopefully, I'll be able to start getting more stuff out again over the coming weeks. That said, I should probably start with the update on my mom's health before moving into the workflow progress outline.
So, where should I pick up from? Well, Mom was moved to a physical therapy rehab about an hour away. She looks like she's going to be there for at least a month, maybe more before she can finally come home. She also has a urinary tract infection, specifically with staph bacteria and a pretty bad rash on her back that I'm worried is an extension of the staph infection. But as of yet it hasn't been tested, only treated. Which brings me to what's become a more pressing issue.
Based on what I've seen and heard, the bulk of the staff seems cold, incompetent, or both. To save my mom embarrassment, I will not go into the details of one of the major screw-ups they made, but they've made a lot of little ones as well. I've spoken to my mom's primary doctor and physical therapist, as well as a patient advocate to complain, and that seems to have relieved some of the more pressing issues. But I'm concerned about the stuff that might be going on when I'm not present at the rehab. At one point, the whole staff was threatening my mom with being kicked out if she didn't do exercises they wanted her to do, even though the physical therapist said she was doing what was required and making good progress. There seems to be a lack of a dedicated plan to follow when it comes to these nurses and assistant docs, and so they all seem to have different treatment regimens in mind that don't fit with what the primary therapist is asking. Thankfully my complaint seems to have stopped the threats, but they still haven't provided either of us with a hard outline for progress.
Her bladder infection isn't better, but they're insisting she finishes the medication she's on before they test again, and as I said they haven't even tested her skin rash. They've also forgotten to give her her regular prescriptions multiple times and nearly dropped her on two occasions. Needless to say, it's making the experience all the more worse for her, and validating my fears about 'care facilities', especially in the USA. They've hit almost every benchmark in terms of the stuff I was worried about, and this is just a rehab. Still, despite it all my Mom seems to be pulling through okay, and as long as the physical therapy is going well, it only bodes better for her mobility coming home, hopefully better than before she got injured, fingers crossed.
Moving on to the workload outlook, as I said everything had a spanner thrown in it. I was already late on my sticker drop, my next chapter in tFV being finished, updating the ask blog, updating patreon and its reward tiers, and commissions. (Although thankfully I had cleared out my commissions that were paid for right before this happened.)
So I think I said I was already 12 pages in on the new chapter of tFV, and the previous chapter is still in editing, but about half finished. I had held off doing a pretty sizeable ask dump to try and wrap it before the July 4th holiday, but...well you all know what happened. So I've essentially thrown up my hands and written off that previous goal as lost. Instead, I'm going to spend the next few days cranking out asks till I get tired of them, as well as updating the ask banner, and then make my focus for the week after trying to hammer out the current chapter of tFV I was working on and count it as 'this month's chapter'.
Additionally, during this week I want to start work on 2 more stickers, as I initially intended to do for July. This sticker set will feature Vanna and Ada in swimsuits and of course, in the buff. I intend for them to be in the same vein as the Qali stickers from last year, essentially an addition to that 'set' with the goal of getting to the other hunter-gals eventually. (Dawn Included). I'll also be revving up the commission queue again closer to the end of the month, once the bulk of this stuff is behind me. Granted this is all a rough timetable, as I don't know what sort of things could crop up with my Mom in rehab that could further delay things.
Some additional stuff worth noting that is more...let's say clerical rather than project work, that is also planned to occur over the next week. For one, I've posted 10 different prints over to my Etsy Shop Page. You can check them out at the following link if you haven't already. But if you're a Patreon member and looking to order some of these, please contact me via DMs If you want a print or prints so I can invoice you for them at a discounted rate. I'm gonna aim to set up one new print from the archives or brand new every month or two. So keep your eyes on the etsy store page for new Print Drops. Also, I'm open to suggestions when it comes to which of my old works you want to see turned into prints. So feel free to leave some comments with said suggestions.

Speaking of discounts and the like. I want to update and revise my Patreon backer rewards. It's been long overdue and I've been instituting new rewards and mothballing old ones without updating the tiers since....well basically since I started this thing. It's not fair or transparent to you guys, and I want to make it so.
Oh, I've also removed last year's "Summer of Sin" art pack from sale on gumroad, as I intend to release it publically. You should see those drop at some point during the next week. Not only because they're old, but really Gumroad's take is a bit higher than a realized. So should I do anything like this again, it'll probably be an Etsy exclusive. Needless to say, I'm taking the gumroad link out of my posts going forward.
Lastly, I want to talk about the keychains and standees I want to start producing. I intended to begin experimenting with them toward the middle of this month, but as I mentioned earlier, thanks to my mom being in physical therapy, that's been pushed back as well. Though I will add that there was a good chance I would have had to push them back anyway because I hadn't considered just how long all the materials would take to arrive while balancing my orders to coincide with finances. I forgot it was 'Free amazon prime day' this month, and I suspect that's slowed all my order's shipping times down significantly, even though I have Prime. So by the time I get all my tools and will be ready to go, it will be August.
Last thing worth noting is that I'm starting to feel pretty worn, so much so that I've actually moved my bed up by my workstation in order to try and get work done. This isn't entirely out of the norm for me, as I'll have peaks and valleys with my pots, and during those dips I'm usually more worn out and get exhausted sitting up a lot faster. I don't know if Pots has a stress component, but I get the feeling that now that things with my Mom have sort of...calmed down just a bit, the stress and trauma is catching up to me. Ideally, I'll be able to work through this with the Adderall and the bed position, but it's just an extra warning of things that could slow output over the next few weeks as well. Fingers crossed that it won't.
Anyway, that's all for now. Thanks again to my wonderful backers! (Expect the rewards revisions next weekish) And to my fans who aren't members but just like what I do! It means the world to me, especially at times like this.
