Ask Wasty; My Sophie's Choice

 

Wasty: Juno, I am both surprised that no one has asked me this before, and totally frustrated over how hard this question is going to be to actually answer. I've been working with my Zootopia AU for like...what, seven years at this point? I've spent so much time with these characters and cultivated a lot of them into characters I super like.

Of course, my default answer would be Dawn and Vernon, even though that would be cheating as Dawn isn't an OC. But I just, I love their relationship. It isn't perfect of course, but no relationship is. Still, their relationship is just so cute, and I love indulging in them just being a cozy couple...although by this point I have several cozy couples. Even Ada and Yuri are cozy in their own way, as you'll see when part 2 of that comic drops.

So let's take Dawn and Vern off the board. Ada and Yuri too. Val for that matter. Val is a fun character, but I would hate to know her in person. God, it's like I'm looking at a mental 'guess who' board in my mind, but I'm just kicking my babies in the teeth one by one here...

Is it a Hunter? Hunters? I mean...I...hmm....god...Okay...Um...in terms of couples that are outside Dawn and Vern, I'd probably go with Dorian and Audrey, or Gus and Melly. I love their chemistry together, and the way both couples get along. And as for solo characters...I know I haven't gotten to show her off all that much in Asks or in "The Family Vulpes" yet, but I think...Ellie...Val's adopted Opossum sister. She's a sweetie...

But you didn't hear this from me okay? If any of my characters ask, I love all my babies equally!

The Family Vulpes; Act 1 Cover Art

 

More 'bonus break' material here, featuring content from my fic series 'The Family Vulpes". I'd like to call this one the cover art for the first act, but really this was a piece I made far to complex just so I could feature it in a 'chapter title card' for the next chapter I'm going to be dropping later this week. Last year was....honestly a huge mess, and I'm looking forward to getting this fic back out of the hiatus status, and roll back into an 'active' story. What better time than during the start of the new year. New hopes, new goals, new stuff to shoot for. Here's hoping I can actually get back on top of it and really start churning out chapters again.

This picture is featured in the upcoming chapter as one of the family photos Cameron has on his desk at work, featuring himself hugging his two lovely daughters. You can take a guess as to which one of them is adopted. Val and Ellie are around sixteen in the photo, so it was taken about four years before the 'current day' in the fic.
