Dawn: Oh, well this is something I can help with, as I used to have a pretty intimate knowledge of the Zootopian transit system. The bulk of the transit system is largely subway based. However, the line coming in from Bunny Burrow is a bullet train. It was actually designed by a Japandese company so that it was in-line with the same standards used for the ones in their home country. We intended to do the same to the Rainbow falls line into the North Meadowlands and Canidea, but a combination of funding issues, as well as a surprising amount of public outcry, led to the Rainbow line remaining more of a classic locomotive style train line. It's significantly slower than the 'Bunny Bullet', but the locals prefer the classic charm and....if we're being honest there are more places to stop on the Rainbow line than the Bunny Burrow line.
Vernon: I imagine it's gotta be a pain fer them mammal's lookin' to get over the Canidean mountain ridge quick, but there's something real cozy about a leisurely train trip. O'course, that may just be the “North Meadowland's Pup” in me talking.
Dawn: Last I heard, they are talking about establishing a subterranean bullet line that will connect in Canidea, sort of a way to meet in the middle, but I don't think they've been able to raise enough funds to set aside for it.
Vernon: Takin' a page out of the Trans-Afrikat line?
Dawn: *Chuckles* Although not nearly as vast. Seriously, that's one of Animalia's modern wonders.
Vernon: Along with Zootopia in the number one spot. As fer that lil' incident y'all are talkin' about, yes it's true, accordin' to my Pa anyway.
Dawn: Lamb sakes!? Was anyone hurt?
Vernon: Nah, they got out in time. This was the previous sheriff it happened to. And he didn't waste any time tryin' to dislodge the thing, he just bailed.
Dawn: That was a smart move.
Vernon: It was. Although my Pa believes the old sheriff bailed so quickly was because it made fer a good excuse to get fundin' fer a more modern vehicle. *Chuckles*
