Let's start with work outlook and scheduling, and then we'll kind of branch out from there.
So work stuff, first and foremost the newest chapter of The Family Vulpes is now languishing in editing for the time beingt. I joke, my editor has a busy life as is, and I keep burdening him with art practice sessions. But that said, in order to get a sort of 'pipeline' going, like in the old days, I'm going to dig into writing the next chapter of the fic around next week, and ideally aim to finish it before June is out. If I can manage, I'd like to be working on one chapter or one off story a month. And eventually once things are rolling smoothly that'll translate to a chapter drop a month. But I don't want to get ahead of myself here, lest I shoot myself in the foot.
The commission queue is moving along at a reasonable pace at present, but with the completion of my most recent one for Eliteshade, I'm going to turn attention for a week or so to personal projects and pending merch stuff. I'm still behind on the Typlosion sisters sticker set, and I'm aiming to do the summer cherub set toward the end of the month. All that coupled with my intentions to start toying with standees and keychains around the same time, I'm putting a lot on my plate which I know full well I'm not going to be able to finish in the timeframe I've set for myself. Even at optimal health I'm always still just a little behind my tentative estimates.
I also have a full color drawing sitting at about 75 percent done that I hadn't intended to color in the first place, one that isn't on the queue mind you, that I'm intending to finish this week, and now the 'tenderising your mutton' sketch is screaming at me to work on it as well...so naturally I've got a lot of fingers in pies, and I have to get a hold of myself or my head is going to spin right off my neck from the various WIPs drawing my attention. Here I thought things would be easier if my health improved, but all its done is increase the number of ideas and WIPs I've had, and scattered the focus. But I suppose, one can hardly call that a bad thing.
Speaking of my health, as I've said, it has improved to some degree. I've been largely stable for nearly a month. Not feeling perfectly fit as a fiddle, and still stealing naps when I need them. I'm currently hitting a little bit of a lull, as I'm a bit more tired than I was last week overall. But it hasn't been as bad as my previous crashes, and I'm hoping it stays that way. As for my stomach issues, I don't recall if I had mentioned them in the last update, but my gerd has been constant for about three weeks, and I'm on the highest dose of Omeprazole one can be on. For those not aware, it's like acid reflux to the extreme, brought on because the little flap that keeps your stomach contents inside your stomach has eroded away, allowing vomit to roll up into your throat even when your stomach is just the slightest bit upset.
Three weeks ago, I started having the first really severe gerd reaction I've had in years, coupled with the sensation of having a lump in my throat that won't go away. Nothing I've eaten, or not eaten, has helped this, and the doc had to put me on a high dose of reflux meds to try to keep it in check, something it barely does. I've got a esophageal flouroscopy, or something like that set for thursday, where the doc will hopefully get to the bottom of this. At the very least it hasn't gotten in the way of work, though it is killing my appetite. But I'll keep you posted if it's anything worth mentioning.
Okay, I'd say that about covers everything for now. Thanks again to my backers, and of course my other fans who aren't in the Patreon.
Though...maybe you want to consider the patreon if you aren't one already?Just a dollar gets you access to my art, from sketches to big colorful pics about a month earlier than the public release! Five dollars gets you access to an exclusive chatroom, polls, and voice chat on my art streams. No pressure or anything...simply consider it.
Oh, and my Etsy shop has stickers! With new ones set up to release monthly for the summer...and if you're lucky, maybe even some standees and keychains by summer's end! (Patreon members at the five dollar tier get a discount on merch!
